I’m a Melbourne based, Korean textile artist creating abstract and expressive textile works. Growing up in a small city Gwangju in South Korea, I had a passion for fashion and textiles that was strong enough for me to move to Australia in 2016. I started my first textile study in RMIT, Melbourne, where I developed my distinctive and quirky ideas into reality. A significant part of my practice is dedicated to material exploration and creating playful sensory effects on fabrics. My works are mainly inspired by abstractionism and are spontaneous and experimental with the use of colours and patterns.
